TTWWADI - That’s The Way We’ve Always Done It.
There are several examples of TTWWADI in education today. Think about structure - length of school day/year, the bell system (created by a Benedictine monk 800 years ago to manage the hours of prayer), the same “full frontal” lecture style used for the last 100 or so years, the methods of learning assessment; the list goes on.
Here’s a thought - think we could find some examples of TTWWADI in education?

Cell Phones in Class as a Learning Tool
One of my array of workshops at NECC 2009, there was a discussion about the use of cell phones in school and as a learning tool.
Currently most schools ban cel phones for use during instruction time. However, students are going to bring them to school and even attempt to use them during instruction.
So why fight the battle? How can we use cell phones as an instructional tool?
